Dr. Latha completed her MBBS from Bangalore Medical College and obtained MRCOG in 1992 and MRCP(I) in 1994. She completed her FRCOG(UK) in 2005.
Dr. Latha founded the core team of WMN in 2009, as a group of like-minded physicians. She has actively promoted the Group Practice concept in India as the way to provide round-the-clock quality healthcare. She is very skilled in complex vaginal surgeries and her specialities include high risk pregnancies and medical disorders in pregnancy. She champions normal vaginal deliveries, and a multidisciplinary approach to care in support of natural healing.
She is committed to distributed healthcare to ensure availability of specialist care to underprivileged women in urban, rural and remote areas. She initiated skill training in emergency obstetric care through the BRCOG Trust and BSOG, and developed low-cost technological applications to bring care to the masses.
Dr. Latha has been awarded India Positive Award by CNN-IBN for her outreach activities; has 6 publications in renowned international journals; has contributed to chapters on IUGR-IAP textbook and Management of Traumatic PPH; and is an acknowledged National Expert on diabetes and pregnancy. She is also a past President of Bangalore Society of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and President of Bangalore RCOG Trust.
Dr. Latha trains young professionals and generously shares her vast technical expertise amassed over three decades with doctors who seek her counsel.
