WMN offers two eighteen-month fellowship programs accredited by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka

Fellowship in Foeto-Maternal Medicine
Successful completion leads to a Certificate as a Fellow in Foeto-Maternal Medicine.

Fellowship in High-Risk Pregnancy
Successful completion leads to a Certificate as a Fellow in High-Risk Pregnancy.

Each course has an intake of two fellows per batch.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

  • Eligible candidates include those with MS/MD/DNB in Obs and Gyn/MRCOG who have obtained permanent registration with any State Medical Council.
  • Candidates with DGO in Obs and Gyn and permanent registration with any State Medical Council will also be considered.
  • Admission typically takes place in August, with the course commencing in September.
  • Selection is based on merit and aptitude, with an admission process involving a written test and interview.
  • All candidates sit for University examinations after completing the eighteen-month course, which includes both theory and practical components.

Our trainees demonstrate in-depth knowledge of

  • Basic sciences relevant to maternal medical conditions and fetal development
  • Pathophysiology, evaluation methods, and treatment for maternal disorders and pregnancy complications
  • An understanding of fetal development and complications such as aneuploidies and structural anomalies
  • Collaboration with other professionals for managing less common conditions.
  • Concepts of investigative science and research methodology.
  • Quality assurance methods and audit practices
